Arrival in Gangtok

Your adventure begins with a warm reception at either New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) or Bagdogra Airport (IXB), where our local representative will greet you. From there, embark on a scenic drive to Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim, located at an elevation of 5412 feet (1650 meters). The journey, spanning approximately 4 to 5 hours, will reward you with stunning views of the Himalayan landscape. Day 02
Gangtok – Excursion to Tshangu Lake & New Baba Mandir

After a hearty breakfast, embark on an exhilarating full-day excursion to Tshangu Lake and New Baba Mandir.

**Tshangu Lake**, situated at an altitude of 12,400 feet (3,780 meters), is renowned for its crystal-clear waters and breathtaking surroundings. Enjoy the stunning views before proceeding to **New Baba Mandir**, located 18 kilometers further and at an elevation of 13,100 feet (3,994 meters). This sacred shrine is dedicated to Baba Harbhajan Singh, a revered Indian Army soldier.

After a day filled with exploration and awe-inspiring vistas, return to Gangtok for an overnight stay at your hotel.

**Note:**

1. **Documents for Tshangu Lake & New Baba Mandir:** 
   - 2 passport-sized photos
   - Photo copy of photo ID proof (Passport, Driving License, or Voter ID). Pan Card and Aadhaar Card are not accepted. 
   - For children below 18 years, a Date of Birth certificate written in English is mandatory, along with School ID/College ID. Originals must be brought along.

2. **In case the visit to Tshangu Lake is not possible** due to landslides or unforeseen reasons, alternative sightseeing will be provided.

3. **Foreigners, OCI, and PIO Card holders:** The process for these groups is different. Please inform us well in advance to plan the itinerary accordingly.

Gangtok to Pelling

Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel before checking out and embarking on a half-day sightseeing tour of Gangtok. Discover the vibrant culture and natural beauty of the region with visits to attractions such as the Flower Show, Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom, Do-rul Chhorten, Research Institute of Tibetology, and Banjhakari Falls. 

Following your Gangtok exploration, proceed on your journey to Pelling, situated at an elevation of 5500 feet (1675 meters). The drive, approximately 116 kilometers and lasting about 5 to 6 hours, will offer breathtaking views of the Himalayan landscape. Upon reaching Pelling, check into your hotel and relax for the evening.

**Note:** Should the Research Institute of Tibetology and Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom be closed, an alternative sightseeing option to Bakthang Waterfalls and the Ropeway (if operational, with ticket available on direct payment basis) will be provided.

Sunrise at Tiger Hills & Darjeeling Sightseeing

**Darjeeling (6710 Ft / 2046 Mt)**

Early morning at around 0400 am (weather permitting), visit Tiger Hills (8482 Ft / 2586 Mts) to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the majestic Kanchenjunga Peak, the third highest peak in the world. Return to the hotel for breakfast.

- After breakfast, enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour of local Darjeeling attractions, including the Japanese Temple & Peace Pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park & Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursdays, local festivals, and state & national government holidays), Tenzing & Gombu Rock, and a panoramic tour of a tea estate.   • In case client wishes to prepone /postpone his or her travel dates, we request you to kindly reach us 15 days prior to journey date via e-mail/SMS.

  • The customers can prepone /postpone their tour once without any additional charges (if intimated before 15 days of travel date in written). However postponing & preponing second time will attract additional charges.

  • Also note that few service providers (Hoteliers, Transporter etc.) may apply postpone/prepone charges even after meeting above requirement. In such cases postpone/prepone charges will deducted from the advance amount deposited.

  • In all prepone or postpone scenarios, the services and the costing will be subject to availability of Hotel/Volvo and season/off season time.
